After moving from NYC and settling in the Hudson Valley Elana Tema was excited to embark on a new adventure. She attended Paul Mitchell Beauty School and began her work as Salon Coordinator while apprenticing Master Stylist, Lune, and her intuitive dry cutting approach. Elana Tema is passionate about creating effortless hair that is low maintenance and does not require a lot of styling. Sustainability within the art of hair as well as on this planet are of upmost importance to her.

Lily is a natural sculptor and an engaging stylist who creates lived-in, textural styles and cuts. A graduate of the Orlo Academy of Hair Design, she is also a talented makeup artist and expert eyebrow shaper. She recently coordinated the hair and makeup department in two different sold-out operas in Hudson and in NYC, and her vision can be seen in all of her salon work.

DANIELLE

With over 23 years in the industry, Danielle has worked in many well known NYC salons before continuing to style for major well known fashion magazines, runway shows and artists. She has sole owned Salon, Vamp Hair Studio in Montclair NJ for over 13 years. Danielle later moved from the greater NYC area in 2019 to the Hudson Valley with her 2 children and began working at Salune Hair Studio for less than 1 year. In 2020 (yes during the pandemic) she then set up Create Collective. With a liberating approach from a standard salon model, The Collective is a chair rental that gives complete freedom to Artists allowing each to create their own professional pace but with the support of a passionate and caring Team.

As a Hair Artist she is most requested for her rock and roll style hair, razor cutting , wild curly hair, lived in balayage and vivid fashion color skills. Her passion lies in creating edgy hair shapes and color that are manageable yet very cool. When Danielle is not doing hair she is immersed in music, gardening, artwork or frolicking in the forest with her 2 children!

Prior to moving upstate, Christine spent 10 years working at Fringe Salon in NYC where she received her training working under master stylists. Kylie is a Paul Mitchell graduate. She is a Hudson native, her passion for hair care sparked on a farm just outside the city where she was raised grooming horses. Catering to her clients desires she creates a one of a kind look fit to the individual while valuing how the hair feels to wear above all else. Kylie offers specialty trims during full moon illumination which includes reiki charged crystal healing & moon water. She prefers to use products with natural ingredients and is training to incorporate more holistic offerings into her hair services. She is dedicated to engaging her clients in appreciation for their natural beauty. Chris Mercan cuts for the future! A true artist, she loves to create looks that balance classic with edgy, emphasizing natural texture, and easy-to-manage, effortless style.

When Chris left Detroit in 2003, her heart was wide open to receive New York City’s unique energy and constant visual stimulation. A talented photographer, Chris’s sharp eye for detail and uncommon beauty landed her numerous photographic apprenticeships.

Chris began exploring her love of hair at Aveda Soho and spent 9 years as an educator with ARROJO studio NYC. There she studied precision scissor and razor cutting under masters stylists from Vidal Sassoon, Toni and Guy and Aveda. There, she created her own way of sculpting hair and using color to paint light and shadows creating depth and interest. Whether it’s a classic bob or a fun shag, she loves working with very thick or textured hair creating beautiful shapes that only get better over time.

Since moving her young family to the Hudson area in 2012. Chris has continued to hone her craft and collaborate with a vast client base as the premier stylist at one of Hudson’s best-renowned spas. She’s thrilled to now work alongside a community of vibrant creatives at Creative Collective.
